Greenhill Action Group Logo

Greenhill Action Group has recently been re-formed by residents of Micklethwaite, Crossflatts and Bingley who are opposed to the proposed plans for a 450-home development on a greenfield site adjacent to the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The group intends to act as a spearhead for objections and an information resource for all interested parties who are against the advancement of the latest planning proposal. Aldred Design created the new logo which will appear on correspondence and on the Greenhill Action Group website.

Recently completed, a 24-page, A5 guide to the church of St. John the Evangelist, in Farsley. Beginning with the origins of the church in Farsley district the guide goes on to provide visitors with a comprehensive history of the building itself and it's most interesting features, and relates the stories of some of the notable people that have been connected with the church throughout it's almost 170-year history.

Produced for Saville Creative Communications the brochure is richly illustrated with photographs old and new, and a plan of the church. The guide is available at the Church itself or through Pudsey Civic Society.

Little darlings...

Just a quickie in the lead up to Christmas. Two DVDs designed for Saville Creative Communications for two local primary school Christmas nativity productions. Time to dig out those tea towels and cuddly lambs, I guess!

The sun shines (almost!) for Hebden Sports 2008

Saville Creative Communications has enlisted the services of Aldred Design to produce design and artwork for the cover and disc of its latest DVD film of the Hebden Sports 2008 event. Held annually for well over 100 years close to the small village of Hebden, near Grassington, it is a community day attracting not only local residents but people from across the region who come to compete in the well known Fell Race.

Inevitably there have been some changes over the years but the Sports still keeps its traditional local character with children's egg-&-spoon, three-legged and sack races, as well as flat races for all ages, and of course, the tug-of-war. Sideshows like Bat-the-Rat, Knock-down-Ginger, quoits and skittles add to the fun. The Sports always takes place on the August Bank Holiday Monday from 12.30 - 4.30pm, whatever the weather!

The DVD film covers the entire day's events from setting up the competition field to the prize giving, and captures the fun and community spirit that pervades throughout. The DVD is available through Saville Creative Communications or by visiting the BOFRA website.
