Cycles Of Eternity

Aldred Design has recently completed the layout and visual design for a new book, Cycles of Eternity, that deals with the esoteric subject of Theosophy and The Ageless Wisdom. Working closely with the author, Tim Wyatt, the visual look of the 112-page perfect bound book was developed over the course of almost a year, to produce a document that is both engagingly written and richly illustrated and intended to be much more accessible in its presentation of material that, in the past, has often been dealt with in a rather dry and undigestible manner.

The book is available from Firewheel Books of Bingley.

Amazing what you find...

Whilst trawling through old emails in a Spring clean-out prior to updating to a new Mac system I came across the below design which I created for a client in Skipton about three years ago. The design integrates existing images and new illustrations which I created in the same style, to form a pattern which was intended for possible use on writing stationery, wrapping paper and fabrics eg. tea towels, aprons. Wonder if it ever went ahead...

New crest for Bradford Catholic Schools

A new crest has been created by Aldred Design for the joining of two long-established and well respected Catholic schools in Bradford; St Bede's Catholic Grammar School and St Joseph's Catholic College. The new design retains certain elements from the previous two school crests but these were redrawn in a consistent style and a new colour palette of green, blue and gold introduced. The new crest will feature on the school uniform from the beginning of the 2013-14 term.
